Jas grew up in the world of hair care. A second-generation salon owner, Jas stayed busy after school and on breaks helping around her mother’s salon. “I was raised around hair. It was everywhere.” While continuing the family business was never a dream of hers, she couldn’t help but absorb a wealth of knowledge that she used to support her mother’s business as well as help pamper her friends with new styles.
Searching for something of her own, Jas attended Florida State University,
graduating in three and a half years with a degree in Accounting. Her innate attention to detail and analytical skills served her well as she entered the world of tax accounting and landed in a private firm in Fort Lauderdale. Always striving for more in her own life, Jas faced a crossroads: continue her education to get her Masters and become a CPA, or reinvent herself once again. Always supportive, her mom’s advice was, “Girl, go for it.”

Her passion for hair is based in what Jas calls “the transformative experience of hair”. She loves having the ability to help her clients feel more self-confident while educating them on how to best care for themselves. “Being a mom, a lot of my clients are moms. After having a new baby or experiencing major life changes, everyone needs a pick-me-up...Those are the moments that remind me once again how much I love what I do.” Now running her own salon, Jas continues to master her craft while helping her clients feel special. “I have a heart for women...I love being with women, inspiring them, and making them feel good about themselves.”
Today
Since 2017, Jas has worked as a texture and color educator, while continuing her education with a DevaCurl Certification in 2018. Her curly clientele grew as did her expertise. A huge believer in education, Jas stays on top of the latest hair trends,
products and techniques, offering her clients the best hair care available. “I’ve always had the desire to know how to do everyone’s hair.” Working with straight, wavy, curly and coily hair, her dedication shows.
2017
When her husband’s job moved the couple to Charlotte, NC, in 2007, Jas was feeling ready to make the switch to hairstyling. He offered his support: “Hair is part of who you are. If you want to do it, go for it.” That’s when she left her accounting life behind, and began studying at the Aveda Institute in Charlotte. Jasmin attended many of Aveda’s top Texture, Color, and Cut classes with some of the most well- known educators. Jas began working at the exclusive Dolce Lusso Salon & Spa, where she was quickly recognized as an expert in textured hair color and cuts.
